This car has power: Windows, locks, mirrors, steering, drivers seat (height only) and a stock in dash computer with fuel mileage, trip meter, kms to empty, average speed etc. 5 speed manual, seating for 4.
First off the interior is very clean and was non-smoking.
This cougar has well over $10,000 in aftermarket parts and accessories which include:
*Complete set of fully fiberglass body kit. Fiberglass hood, spoiler, side skirts front end and rear apron.
*Fully tinted "Legal" 35% on drivers and passengers windows. 5% limo tint on rear sides and back windows
*Custom 2 tone finished black on silver paint job.
*18" Rims wrapped in Z rated 225 wide low profile tires.
*Interior dress ups; Custom shifter and knob, aluminum checker plate floor mat, custom white faced gauges, side mounted air/fuel mixture and voltmeter.
*Complete aftermarket audio system, all speakers replaced, tweeters and mids, JVC deck.
Performance upgrades:
Cold Air Intake system
Custom exhaust, pipes, muffler and tip
Bosch platinum performance spark plugs and ignition wiring.
Recently replaced parts:
Mass air flow sensor, alternator, EGR valve, trunk lifters, headlight restoration, both rear struts replaced with new parts and full synthetic oil change just done in July 2011.
The normal 2.5L V6 duratec engines sold in Cougars in Canada had 170hp.
This Cougar has an "SVT" engine which came stock with 200hp after the upgrades it has approx 230hp. Curb weight is about 2,800lbs. It's a quick car that handles very well with the Z rated tires. Production was limited to 6,500 for the year 2000 and just over 13,000 in total from 99-02. Needless to say this is a rare car.
The car could use some body work. There are small flaws including a few cracks and scratches in the fiberglass as well as some minor rust spots, none of which are safety related though. It will need front struts soon.
